Since July of 2007, HIOLLE Industries' group has been working with a new governance mode. From this date, there has been two decision-making bodies:
Jean-Michel HIOLLE's message, the supervisory board director
Dear shareholders,
Meanwhile we are living an unprecedented economic doldrums, Hiolle Industries group is confident for the year 2009 and trusts its future.
Indeed, the strategic choices according to environment, energy and railway industry have not the same sensitive to the economic backdrop.
Besides, a good financial structure strengthens our credibility and let us manage more and more important projects.
We are still ready to create, innovate and develop. Our contractor enthusiasm is unchanged. 2009 will be another year of growth events.
Respecting a good social consensus, we’ll quit the crisis stronger than we were and ready to fence new challenges.
Be sure of our will to follow the way towards new peaks.
Denis WAUTIER's message
Dear shareholders, dear colleagues,
We are living a period where information is becoming more and more rapid, where pictures are coming without any time for comprehension or reading, where those who promise signs of economic upturn on the morning also announce social disasters at night …
In such disturbed times, not only we asked our directors to be vigilant and cautious but also to be dynamic and to fight gloom.
As you could notice, the group turnover is over 100 millions of euros, while we had not received exceptional orders, but only by maintaining a correct result in spite of very bad economic conditions and despite of very high supply (more than 1,7 million of euros) due to our formwork division.
We can be proud of a such result. It is due to each employee. I would like to thank them deeply as for their loyalty, as for their belief to our group and as for the quality of their work.
Around its 4 major sectors, Hiolle industries will follow increasing
Settled in the historical railway land, the "clean transportation" sector is one of the most important. It knows a two-figures growth thanks to national equipment plans and managers as executives of concerned subsidiaries. Indeed, they have been developing commercial actions and have been optimising production inside their structure. Nowadays, this sector is more and more studying global offers. They can lead to complete equipment realizations.
Environment is a constant concern for every one of us. A process unit has been settled and transversality meetings regularly occur to offer our customers wide solutions until financial files. By creating two new units, one in Bordeaux and another one in Nice (above all for water markets), we adapt us. Environment sector was reinforced in 2008 as we acquired GRAFF in January and MECATEL in April. Service and maintenance according to environment are growth markets for the group.
"Wide transfers", the historical activity on which Hiolle Industries fame is based, is living a new youth thanks to tenacity and constant commercial action. In the beginning of 2009, May, we would transfer a sugar refinery from Spain to Egypt. Some 15 millions of euros would come.
"Energy" sector, turbines or photovoltaic, is becoming a fundamental sector inside the group.
When we think Energy, we firstly think how saving energy, how conserving energy, how optimising energy, how leading profitable actions … our business development managers have an important role: advising … in order to sell better.
If 2008 was the year of financial, commercial and technical structures towards that sector, 2009 is expected to be a year of development and results.
Today, many few specialists venture to foretell the end of the crisis.
The board of directors and all Hiolle employees are working hard to prepare the "after-crisis" by innovating, by developing partnerships between R&D and universities or private partners, by group work methods to optimise skills and exchanges, and by trainings.
It is sure that a perennial development only could occur thanks to an harmonious development of our 4 sectors and by employees’ training.
Kind regards,
Denis Wautier
